Lot 1588 Eddystone Pattern 14 .338 Win Mag #584339

This is a highly sporterized British bolt action rifle which was a 'drill purpose' rifle before it was sporterized. Originally manufactured in Eddystone, Pennsylvania by Remington Arms for use during WWI. This rifle was re-chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum. It features an approximately 24.5" in-the-white tapered barrel with a recessed crown, a dog-leg style bolt handle, a serrated curved trigger, manual safety, stripper clip guides in receiver, protected blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight with peep apertures, and a hinged floorplate. It has a Monte Carlo style stock that is a work in progress and is serviceable, it has an oversized rubber buttpad, and a checkered grip cap for the semi-pistol grip. The bore looks dark, or dirty, but the rifling looks strong. The original bluing (receiver, trigger guard and floorplate) is approximately 85% because the trigger guard is mostly bare. There is scattered light rust on the barrel. The action seems to be sound.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
